What to know before your trip to Ghent
Via the E40, a little under an hour
Your driver takes the E40 to the Ghent ring. Allow a little under an hour in normal conditions; at rush hour, leaving Brussels and entering Ghent can add a quarter of an hour. The price does not move: it is set when you book.
The station is far from the centre, your driver is not
Gent-Sint-Pieters is half an hour on foot from the historic centre. By taxi you give the exact address when you book: your hotel, the Korenmarkt, the Patershol quarter or an office in the port, and your driver takes you straight there, as close as the street allows where it is pedestrianised.
Concerts, fairs and nights out, late return included
The Planet Group Arena (the former Ghelamco Arena), Flanders Expo or the Gentse Feesten in July finish late, when trains to Brussels thin out. Book the outbound and return in a single booking: each leg keeps its own pickup time and its own fixed price, and your driver waits at the agreed time.
Travelling as a group or with luggage? Take the van
The van takes your group and its luggage in a single vehicle, at the same fixed price. Child seats are available as an option when you book. Payment is made online when you book, nothing to pay on board, and your receipt or VAT invoice arrives by email after the ride.
